That is our daughter Melanie. She is 38 now. Captain Bruce
Brockway wrote that he left for Vietnam on his daughter's 1st
birthday. I returned to Logan airport in Boston on the morning
of her 2nd birthday where my family was waiting for me. I will
never forget the smile on her face when she saw me and reached
out her little arms.  My wife had her kiss my picture good night
every evening at bed time and she actually recognized me.

5-ton trucks ready to be loaded with stone
Accidents were just something you had to deal with,
Here is a 20-ton on it's side, the man walking toward
the truck with his back to us is Pete Blalock, He said
he still has pain from injuries from this event.
He is a blacktop machine laying down a new road,
just imagine a day with temperture around 115
degrees, blacktop has to be 350 degrees when it is
delivered to the machine which has an internal
furnace heating it up in order for the machine to lay
down a smooth layer.
Black Virgin Mountain, Special Forces were on top,
VC had a hospital in the middle and 101st controlled
