Bottom Ronald Meadows (deceased)
Left to Right
Morris Fletcher, Sgt. Larry Goodwin (deceased),
Robert Miller
Ron and I were the proud parents of two daughters and one son, Stephanie, Sean
and Julie. We were married June 12, 1969 and within the next year, I had given
birth to Stephanie and he was off to Vietnam. He came home 14 months later to a
curly blonde little girl Stephanie. Three years later we had Sean and he was so
proud to have that little son, now a grown man with his own two daughters. He
love Sean so deeply, I will never forget how proud he was to have that son who
now runs the business the two started together, WV Floor Service. (hardwood
floor installation and refinishing). This business was very successful and was one
of his big accomplishments over the last ten years. Our last child was Julie Ann, a
darkhaired blue eyed sweetie who we spoiled beyond imagination.

We now have five grandchildren, Caleb, Nathan, Tate, Hali and Josie, even
though they are very young they knew their grandpa well and loved him dearly.
He bought their favorite cookies and ice cream when they visited. Ron was such a
special person in every way. He was caring, kind, honest and had a wonderful
sense of humor. He was very handsome and had a boyish charm, never taking
himself very seriously. He found a bright spot in the darkest times of our lives.
The quality most people recall was his sincere humble approach to every job he
completed and the way he valued the relationships he developed over the years.
He was the one person I knew that I could count on regardless of the situation.
He died April 26th suddenly while working in the yard. My neighbors said he died
doing what he loved….work.  For his fellow veteran brothers, you were fortunate
to have known him and he spoke your names to me over the years. God Bless
each of you and your precious families.
